Even though a lot hasĬhanged between the old Pro pedals and new sprints. Overall the Sprint set is well built, using strong materials, and top notch parts. Just not the usual top notch solution I am used to seeing from the Huesinkveld team.

They actually turned out to be too long for use with 40 series profiles and the included roll in spring ball T nuts. The solution to this access issue to be a set of hex head 5mm bolts. The U channel rails that support the mount and heel plates needs to be a bit wider to allow access to the screws with an Allen wrench. But, as you may seen in video, I think mounting the platform could be made a much easier task than it isĪs configured. The pedal base that HE sells for the Sprint pedals did it’s job well as far as providingĪ rather solid way to mount you pedals and have place to rest your heels. That is the best test for a pedal set I think. Technique when I had the pedals set up for it. I was able to dial it in to get a close feeling that I was using a real clutch. It has a completely different look to it. The clutch mechanisms theīiggest change from the Pro’s setup. Of course the brake performs very well and it is easy to be consistent with your lap times with such a predictable brake feel. I tried every rubber bumper setup to see which I preferred. Now including a spring to simulate the initial slack that most every brake pedal has. The brake is similar to Pro brake but with some changes to how the bumper stack is arranged. I had no problem getting it dialed in to my personal preference.

The throttle was easy to dial in and has a lot of range in it’sĪdjustability. Overall theīuild quality is up to the usual standards we have previously seen from Huesinkveld.

I noticed that now there are nuts securing one side of the frames where before there were cap bolts on both sides of the frames. Where there was stainless steel plates used throughout the pedals now we have some powderĬoated steel plates mixed in. Has some notable differences from the Pro pedals set that the Sprints are replacing. Finally, thanks to a fellow Sim Racer I know, I am able to put them through the SRG’s review process. I'm happy enough with the stock spring, but I did open the unit up to put a little bit of preload on it to make it feel firmer.I have been looking forward to reviewing this kit for some time now. It's solid, has nice adjustability, and you could easily swap out the stock die spring someday with a cheap part from China if you feel like you want it to have more resistance. I rally almost exclusively so I use the handbrake relatively often, and I don't have any complaints with the TSS. The Heusinkveld handbrake would be a bit nicer like the other poster said, but it would have been 100 dollars more expensive to get where I live and I don't believe the improvement would be worth it. The build quality on the TSS is great, I'm very happy with it. Wish I never cheaped out in the first place. It's analog, but mine had massive deadzones at the start and end of the throw, and on a hot summer's day the control board that was attached with double sided tape unstuck itself and I struggled to realign it well. I had a handbrake like the one you listed, and I had some annoying problems with it so I got the Thrustmaster handbrake as an upgrade.
